- If you decide to increase the time of your meditation, you cannot return to the previous time.
I.e. – Let’s say that you are doing a meditation for 3 minutes every day (for 40-90-120 or 1000 days), and later decide to go up to 7-11-22-31-62 minutes. Once you increase the time, you cannot go back to 3 minutes. You must stick with the new time.
- If you miss one day, you have to start over again.
I have chosen 3 meditations out of the thousands that Yogi Bhajan taught us. You can choose one of them or another one of your preference.
2007 PROSPERITY MEDITATION OF THE YEAR
“If you do this once a week for 62 minutes at a regular time, that’s all you need. Within you there is a capacity to bring prosperity home. This kriya, called Jupiter Kriya, brings prosperity home. It is powerful enough to clear out the garbage in your subconscious mind. Your own electromagnetic psyche shall be tuned in with the Universal electromagnetic field. This shall give you special energy and competence. There is hardly any possibility that you will have a problem. This meditation can be done for 31 minutes, out of kindness, but the requirement is to do it for 62 minutes.” —Yogi Bhajan
The Jupiter finger is the finger for knowledge; by locking them you are stimulating it.
Looking at the tip of the nose locks the mind, so you can regain control over it.
Breathing fully and within the pranic energy will bring the result to your home.
The sound current, vibration of the mantra, will distribute the neurons in the brain in a way that you will achieve success, like divine cords the mantra will bring prosperity.
This meditation has 3 parts:
Position: Sit in easy pose with the spine straight and hook the index fingers (Jupiter fingers), the left index finger hooks down over the right, in front of the heart center.
Breath: Inhale through the mouth with round lips, and exhale through the nose.
Dristi: Look at the tip of the nose, relax the face.
3 minutes: The blocks will begin to break.
11 minutes: The thought patterns start to change and the body begins to relax.
22 minutes: You will start facing your mental blocks. Keep the breath strong and focused.
You can do this for 31 or 62 minutes too.

- Keep the arms parallel to the floor.
- Don’t lower the arms, otherwise the effect will be completely different.
- You can also place the arms in front of the third eye. Yogi Bhajan said:
“If you hold the posture at the Heart Center, you will be an achiever. If you hold it at the Third Eye, you will have the strongest projection you can have.”
Position: Same position as before, bringing the arms with the interlaced index fingers over the head.
Breath: The same.
Dristi: The same.
Time: Continue for 5 minutes regardless of the time you have chosen for the first part.
Mantra: The same.
Notes: This posture is done to create strength. It also strengthens the halo around the forehead. A halo gives protection to the person.
Position: Same position as before bringing the arms with the interlaced index fingers in front of the navel, or belly button.
Breath: The same.
Dristi: The same.
Time: Continue for 2 minutes regardless of the time you have chosen for the first part.
Mantra: The same.
To end: Shake the hands vigorously for 1 minute. The whole body should move!
MEDITATION TO HEAL SELF AND OTHERS – “RA MA DA SA”
This is one of the most famous healing meditations in Kundalini Yoga. It is done because of its healing effects on the person performing the meditation and to send healing energy to other people. It also creates healing hands.
How to do it:
Sit in a cross-legged position with the spine straight. Bend the arms at the side with the elbows comfortably touching your body and the palms facing up, as if you were holding the ceiling.
Eyes closed. Chant loudly RA (sun) MA (moon) DA (earth) SA (infinite).
To end: Inhale, hold, and visualize yourself surrounded by a large white radiant bubble of energy. You are healthy, happy, smiling, and in balance. Exhale. Inhale again and hold, then visualize the person you would like to send this healing energy to as if they are smiling, healthy, and in harmony. Exhale. You can repeat this process one more time and direct the energy to yourself or to a loved one.
Time: From 3 to 62 minutes.
Meditation to heal the body, mind, spirit, and arc line – Kirtan Kriya -“SA TA NA MA”
This meditation is used to break old patterns of behavior. It works great to break drug addictions. In addition, this meditation strengthens and restores the arc line. Women have a double arc line, one that goes from earlobe to earlobe, and another, only in women, that goes from nipple to nipple. The woman is very sensitive to the penetration energy of a man and when a woman engages in sexual intercourse, and sometimes even just flirting, her arc line becomes imprinted with the man’s energy, creating a hole in the arc line. The more holes she has, the weaker the arc line becomes. This can make a woman very insecure and emotionally unstable. It is said that if the arc line gets too weak, the woman will die. In fact, Yogi Bhajan could tell just by looking at a woman how many men she has had sex with because he could see her 10 bodies. This meditation was provided by him and is by far the most recommended for women. This meditation will literally close the holes. I believe that in order to clean the whole arc line from these imprinted energies, it must be done every day for 31 minutes for 2 years.
How to do it:
Sit in a cross-legged position with the spine straight. Place the hands on the knees (or as close as your arms will allow without bending the torso forward). Loudly chant the mantra SA TA NA MA. With every SA, touch the pads of the thumb and the index finger (Jupiter finger) together, with every TA touch the thumb and the middle finger (Saturn finger), with every NA touch the thumb and the ring finger (Sun finger), and with every MA touch the thumb and the pinky (Mercury finger).
Time: During the first 5 minutes, chant the mantra loudly;
for the next 5 minutes, whisper;
for the next 10 minutes, chant in silence;
for the next 5 minutes, whisper again;
and for the last 5 minutes, chant loudly.
If you are new to meditation, you can start with 2 minutes each (4 minutes in silence) and build up from there.
